I am the luckiest mother! I woke this morning, in a panic to get ready for church. No sleeping-in for this mama on Mother's Day. (Church starts at 8:00.) The kids were so cooperative and helpful, and we got to church with time to spare. The meetings were great, and all the moms were given a delicious mint brownie. Yummy!
We opened gifts when we got home. I LOVE seeing what the kids made for me in school. C gave me a beautiful poem, and coupons to do chores, and a darling butterfly frame. J decorated a card, and a bookmark for me. It was so cute. B gave me a card, and as she handed it to me she said, "surprise." and jumped up and down. Hubs gave me a dozen long-stemmed roses, in the palest shade of pink...GORGEOUS. My little family spoiled me with love, gifts, and service this weekend, and I couldn't have enjoyed Mother's Day more.
I'm so grateful to have a wonderful mother. She is a perfect example of how a mother should be, and I'm trying hard to follow in her footsteps. I don't know how she raised SIX children! I love when she comes to town, because she still takes such great care of us. Thanks a million mom!

Coupons to do chores? I would love a Mothers Day gift like that. What a great idea!
