Day 1
We had a GREAT time this past weekend at Bear Lake. It's a beautiful place to relax, and commune with nature. We started began our "get-away" early Thursday morning. The thought being that we would leave from SLC around 10:00 am, be up to Bountiful to pick up additional family members around 10:30, and be up the canyon to Logan around 12:00. Well... things didn't go quite as planned, and I think we arrived in Bountiful around 11:30. We did some quick "before" pictures, and had a bite to eat. Pizza always hits the spot! We were going to caravan, but hubby didn't want to wait around for the rest of the fam.
We followed our mapquest map print-out, to no avail. Weren't we supposed to be driving up a canyon? Instead we were driving right through the middle of town. When we were nearly at the end of town I decided to say something to our "driver". He agreed and we pulled into a gas station to ask for directions. We had missed an important turn, but were quickly back on track.
We got to the campsite in record time. We were the second family to arrive, and chose a prime location for the tent. We got the tent set up and furnished just in time to start a fire for dinner.
Delicious dinner was provided by my sis,
and Grandma kept the kiddos busy with a craft.
My little brother and his cute wife
My cute niece and sis-in-law
Me and Baby B
Hats galore...this project kept the kids away from the fire for a long time!
A short break from Horse-shoes.
Me and my main squeeze, enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
