Spray Paint PARTY!

I was so excited to see that Joy of "Joys of Home" was hosting a Spray Paint party. You see, spray paint and I go back a LONG way. I couldn't live without it! Here are a few recent projects that I've spray painted...

The light fixture that hangs over this table, I salvaged from a garbage heap, and spray-painted black. I also spray painted this table and chairs. (Also rescued from a garbage heap)

This cute lil basket that my Berry special friend gave me was a nice forest green color. I thought spray-painting it black would make it tie in better with my decor. Love it now!!!

Another light fixture pulled from a garbage pile...wouldn't know it after a bit of spray paint.

Finally I'm getting away from the Black Spray Paint Box...because I truly do love color. Here are a set of chairs that I spray-painted and reupholstered. The lamp was spray-painted as well...these items were not from a garbage heap! I rescued these lovelies from my local thrift store.

Here's the before...eeek!

Okay here's some color! I got this cute desk at a yard sale. She's just like the one I had growing up. How could I resist. She was even a delightful shade of yellow-white. Nothing that a can of sea-blue spray paint can't fix, right. I love how it turned out!

Lastly this sad little table that was pulled from...I'll let you figure that one out.

Doesn't he look happier in his bright new coat?!?

Oh I'm so glad that you joined the party and that you tried a new color. You have just inspired me Thank you! Thank you! I have a bedroom set very similar to your desk. It was mine as a girl and then my daughter used it. I was debating about giving it away, but after seeing it painted such a fun color, the debate is over. And the spray paint is coming out---well it's actually always out, but you know what I mean.
I like your black painted projects too. I want to go junkin' with you because you find some really great treasures!

Girl, I want to know where in the heck you live because you've done some good shopping in the trash piles! I cannot believe what you have been lucky enough to find and creative enough to transform! All the projects look awesome. I am excited that I have found your blog - I'm going to bookmark it. Check mine out and I think you'll see we have some decorating tastes that are very similar.

Did you reupholstered those chairs yourself? If so I would love a "how to" some day on your blog as I am sure others would too. You did a WONDERFUL job. Love the fabric you chose and the white is great.

I love all your projects. The chairs looks amazing, and those chandeliers... I can't believe someone was throwing them out. You totally transformed those. I am always on the look out for those items that people throw away that I can transform. They don't know what treasures they have.

I found you on Joy's Paint party. I just wanted to say that I just repainted that same vanity/desk. I got it at a yard sale for $10. Same ugly yellow white color. It is now a fun sagy green and sits in our master bedroom! Gotta love some paint!
